Relationship Dating Concepts

Some ideas for how relationships would work between the main characters if they dated each other. We're thinking of having the game randomly generate who ends up with who if you don't date your lover fast enough and have come up with a few concept scenarios of how certain relationships would play out.

We're thinking it may be random chance that different characters end up together. Sometimes they'll work sometimes they won't, sometimes they'll drag on and on before they finally break up or break up quickly due to the explosiveness and chemistry of the relationship. Perhaps some of them will even jump through many relationships before they find one that works.

Victoria x Casper

Victoria would accuse Casper of not listening to her. Since Casper is an aloof character who is often thinking about his own projects or figuring things out in his mind, Victoria, who appreciates one on one attention would not appreciate this aloofness. She would do better with someone who is more grounded and indulged in whatever is happening around them, unlike a distracted person like Casper. She may also find him boring in the longrun, finding his long drawn-out explanations boring. Casper might be perfectly happy with this relationship but Victoria would likely not. Eventually she'd probably break up with him and he'd be hurt but would likely go back to doing his own thing.

Victoria x Boston

This relationship would never work. Victoria can't take a joke and is very sensitive, whereas Boston is often very insensitive. She'd find Boston nothing short of annoying, and would probably be pretty explosive with his comments and teasing. Boston, who likes to get a reaction out of people, might like her explosive reactions at first, but eventually after receiving the cold shoulder time and time again, he too would grow angry with her. The two would likely have an extremely explosive argument one day and break up then and there. Victoria is known as holding grudges so she'd likely have no more friendly encounters with Boston after the fact.

Victoria x Asher

This relationship also wouldn't work. Asher likes to nitpick and is a perfectionist, and that would drive Victoria crazy. Most of their relationship would consist of Asher nitpicking everything she does and being critical while Victoria blows up at him time and time again in an effort to defend herself and her work. Asher would think she was an unreasonable drama queen and would probably find most of her interests stupid since he is a very critical character.

Victoria x Otis

This relationship could work if both of them learned to mature a bit. However, the early dating relationship would be quite rocky. Victoria would be really angry during the times that Otis says he's going to do something and then doesn't keep his word. She's also not very forgiving so twice would be enough to make her lose all trust in him. After that, she would probably be suspicious of everything he said and all promises he makes thereafter.

Victoria x Blayne <3 This is perhaps the only relationship that she would get along with. She would still be explosive at times but due to Blayne's understanding and observant nature, even if at first he would find her unreasonable, they are the most likely couple who could learn to talk things out and learn to understand each other.

Ember x Otis

Ember would not tolerate Otis. Ember is an individual who is extremely interested in anything genuine, open, and honest. Since Otis is uncomfortable with expressing his true feelings at any given moment and wears a mask in order to appease the crowd, they would perhaps be the worst couple ever. Ember would HATE Otis's sneaking around and would probably always confront him about it. Ember could understand Otis, but would be continually frustrated getting him to admit that her instincts about him are right.

Ember x Asher

Ember would hate him at first for what he did to Summer (his ex fiance), but after he proves later how sorry he is she would start to soften toward him. These two could end up being a really good pair, as Ember is perhaps, one of the few people who could see through Asher's critical demeanor and see the pain and vulnerability within him. If she could crack him open (and she's likely the only one who could) then they would likely be a very strong pair together indeed.

Ember x Casper

They could work on the surface, beneath the surface however Ember would probably always be somewhat empty and dissatisfied with the relationship. Casper is a nice guy but not super emotional and doesn't quite understand the emotions of others. Ember, who is actually very emotional, would likely always feel misunderstood.

Ember x Blayne

This relationship could potentially work, although both of them are pretty opinionated people and may have a lot of disagreements. However, in the end they'd probably have similar values, so if they could get past their other surface level disagreements about everything, this relationship could possibly work. Ember x Boston These two could also work, but Boston might find the relationship a little boring, and this would deeply hurt Ember's feelings. They might even end up breaking up over it, but it would be a relationship that still has potential. Monica x Boston

This relationship could probably work out if Boston learned to tone down the teasing and immaturity a little bit. Boston is good at reading people and would therefore probably get along with Monica most of the time. Monica might be shy at first but Boston is the type of character who has the potential to get her out of her shell and be more daring and adventurous. This relationship however would be slowgoing because Lupe, who hates Boston and finds him annoying and who is the best friend of Monica, would likely disapprove of this relationship, and since Monica really cares what Lupe thinks, she wouldn't want to displease her by dating someone that Lupe didn't approve of. She'd likely keep her crush to herself if she had one, and overtime might grow more courageous and rebellious against Lupe if she felt that Boston returned her feelings.

Monica x Otis

This relationship might work out at first, and probably quite well. Eventually however, Monica would feel underappreciated and suffer from low self esteem everytime Otis made a promise he couldn't keep. Monica might eventually come to the conclusion that Otis is a coward, which might be a little hypocritical, because Monica and Otis are actually very similar personality-wise, but in the end Monica takes duties and promises very seriously, even though she has an equal amount of fear of displeasing people like Otis does, and therefore that would be a boundary she would be intolerant of Otis crossing. Monica might also end up being the jealous type, since Otis likes to flirt with everyone and have lots of friends, and this wouldn't go over well between the two of them, as Otis would feel like she doesn't trust him and that would hurt his feelings. It could go either way as to who broke up with who, and it might be the type of relationship that would go on for a long time before breaking up, and it would be messy and heartbreaking since both characters are the kind of people who are sensitive and emotional.

Monica x Casper Monica would probably feel like Casper doesn't give her enough attention since he is often distracted by ideas. He is also very oblivious and since Monica likes to hint at things and isn't very upfront, she would likely grow frustrated and he would be confused as to why she was angry with him. In the beginning Monica would likely have a crush on him because he's a very nice guy, very polite and considerate, but if they dated they would likely end up breaking up (more so Monica than Casper) because once again Casper wouldn't see anything wrong with the relationship because he can't pick up on hints, and Monica, who is always dropping hints would constantly be frustrated with him because he just "doesn't get it." Casper would get frustrated that she expects him to read her mind. Example: "I don't understand...I thought girls liked flowers." -Casper

"I don't understand...I thought girls liked romantic dates." -Casper

"You just don't get it, Casper! I feel like you're off in la la land everytime I open my mouth. What's the point of flowers and romantic dates if you're too busy daydreaming to listen to anything I say?! Are you even listening to me??" -Monica Monica x Asher

This relationship would likely work because Monica has a similar personality to Summer, Asher's ex fiance, and likely Asher would actually treat her much different than other girls because of that. Due to his own guilt over what happened with Summer, he would likely have removed barriers and act apologetic with Monica and be more gentle than with other girls. However this relationship would only work if Asher comes out of his shell, which is likely, since Monica is patient and understanding/nurturing. However Monica might have to show some tough love from time to time. Monica might also get somewhat upset as she'd want to be seen as unique from Summer and may test Asher over and over again, wanting him to see her as MONICA, not SUMMER. If Asher can get over his obsession with his past ex, perhaps he could learn to appreciate Monica for being a new person, that just because she's similar to Summer doesn't mean she's exactly the same. Monica x Blayne This relationship COULD work but it wouldn't be the best one out there for Monica. Blayne, who doesn't understand "girly, shallow things" wouldn't always, or even most of the time understand Monica. If he could learn some patience and learn to appreciate things he doesn't understand, perhaps they could work, although Monica might not be happy with this. Monica would likely feel inferior when trying to argue for the things she likes. Blayne can also be insensitive and blunt, and Monica is a romantic, and she wouldn't appreciate this very much. Lupe x Casper

This relationship would likely work. Casper is very willing to please and would likely be okay with being bossed around as long as she respects his space when it "really matters." If Lupe can learn to back off sometimes and respect Casper's own needs, which are actually quite simple, Casper will give her the benefit of the doubt in most situations. Casper however, must feel that his ideas are valued, he gets quite upset if they get dismissed.

Lupe x Boston

This would be a constant banter of a relationship. There would be constant arguments. Boston would likely not be able to deal with it as a serious relationship and would push her buttons on purpose just for fun. The two would act pretty much the same whether dating or not. Neither would ever be able to genuinely open up to each other, as they are both extremely competitive and like to use it as a weapon later in disagreements. However, at times they could be wildly in love, and wildly out of control. They would be the kind of couple that are either way too passionate, and then arguing like they'll kill each other in the next moment. Neither of them would ever find peace in this relationship or could ever settle down enough to trust each other. The whole relationship would be a constant competition to tear each other down and prove oneself "right." Lupe x Blayne

This would never even happen. Blayne would instantly reject Lupe and wouldn't even be nice about it. Blayne probably could never bring himself to even feel that way about Lupe in the first place and likely wouldn't respect her or anything she has to say. In fact, he would likely secretly hate her just from being in the same room as her as a total stranger. Blayne always puts his foot down and Lupe would never get the upper hand, which, coming from a total control freak, wouldn't suit her interests at all. Lupe x Asher

Similar to her relationship with Blayne, Asher would never take anything Lupe says seriously and she'd have no authority over him. He'd be constantly suspicious of all her motives and words and wouldn't appreciate being bossed around, and he's not cooperative enough to ever be in a relationship with Lupe, who likes to control everything. Lupe x Otis

This relationship might work for a while at first, but eventually when Otis felt like Lupe is controlling him, he'd likely start sneaking around behind her back and doing things she would approve of as a form of rebellion and passive aggressiveness. He wouldn't feel like he could voice his mind or feelings around her and he hates being controlled. Eventually Lupe would find out that he was sneaking around, likely from Monica, who is more observant of these things, and confront him about it. There would be a very dramatic and explosive argument over it, as Otis would eventually give her a piece of his mind. Very likely to date but not likely to last. Freii x Casper

This relationship would work pretty well actually. Both of them like space and are in la la land a lot of the time. It would be a super in depth or intimate relationship, but both of them likely wouldn't mind that. No fights, but no depth either. They can bounce ideas off of each other and make a great team but not a whole lot of personal or romantic stuff would happen. They're the "do" team.

Freii x Boston

It could work, but I think Freii wouldn't be romantic or present enough to satisfy Boston's needs. Boston might break it off out of not knowing how to connect with her. Freii x Otis Probably the best out of everything for each other. Freii doesn't take Otis's frequent disappearances personally, as she often feels prone to wander, and she doesn't get offended easily either. Both have a lighthearted sense of humour and Otis would likely admire Freii's quick thinking and she would find him funny and enjoy his company without actually NEEDING it. If he didn't show up one day she'd be perfectly okay with doing the activity by herself and just shrugging her shoulders about it.

Freii x Blayne

This wouldn't work, although she might be alone in this relationship most of the time. Blayne will sometimes come, but not always. Freii likes to DO things and Blayne is a homebody. Blayne would also find her methods of doing things a little unorthodox but might come around to appreciate them over time, especially if they produced results. Freii is very intelligent even if her ways of doing things don't always make sense at first. This is one of those relationships that would start off a little rocky but might eventually flourish. Blayne could supposedly dig out the deeper side of Freii if he believed it to be there.

Freii x Asher

This probably wouldn't work. Asher is too sensitive and Freii is too impatient. Asher would feel like Freii doesn't care about any of his feelings and would probably think most of her ideas are stupid, which would make HER angry.
